How Contact Sharing Helped Our Customer: A Success Story
Our customer believes that to create exceptional designs you need to cooperate with the client, the engineer, and the architect. Effective collaboration is not given – it must be built with smart solutions.
To keep the collaboration going smoothly, SyncGene brought Contact Sharing to the table. This feature helped our client to refine their processes and deliver profitable ideas to their customers.
The Challenge
There are quite a few benefits for companies to have a single list for all business contacts. The database should be centralized and accessible to all employees. Without this, the contact lists are updated every time a new person is hired, employees leave the company, or even when a new customer is on-boarded.
So, to update contacts manually each time a change is made is a hassle, and a quite annoying one. Not to mention that it takes time to do so.
Flexibility is the key to successful collaboration. Our mission was to set up automated data synchronization between employees’ devices, no matter their location. If a new contact is entered into the database, this information shows up on all connected sources. Information can be moved to a preferred device – laptop, desktop, or phone.
Solution
Our customer requested a specific synchronization scenario. It involved a synchronization method with various permission settings – full admin access with edit rights for managers and view only rights for users in this case employees.
The company has several administrators with their own accessibility needs. Admins need to edit contact information and share updates with other employees. SyncGene Enterprise has a suitable solution. Contact sharing feature syncs contacts between all active administrators using 2-way synchronization. With this solution, other team members are on board too. Instead of syncing data 2 ways, we applied a custom 1-way synchronization model for the rest of the staff.
We are sure to fit solutions to specific needs. Now our client can manage who accesses the database (1-way sync), and who edits it (2-way sync). The user updates information on the main server, without needing to install anything.
We know that sometimes errors and disasters occur – contacts are deleted or changed by mistake. These kinds of updates will not be visible to other members with custom synchronization settings in place. As for this, the database will be clean and safe, no matter what.
With SyncGene Enterprise our client saved time and costs – crucial necessities in today’s business environment. For a team that values agility and collaboration, our customer has both, thanks to Contact Sharing and other time-saving features.
