Migration to Google People API
Google is deprecating the older Google Contacts API - it will be replaced by Google People API. In order to migrate to newer Google People API, you will need to re-authorize all your Google sources that were added before June 15th, 2021.
In order to migrate to newer Google People API, you will have to select a source on source management page, select a Google source and press "RECONNECT". When you press "RECONNECT", the following dialog will be displayed:
When you select either option, you will be redirected to authorize your data again. If you press "SWITCH TO PEOPLE", you will migrate selected Google source to Google People API.
If all your Google contacts group were found after migration, a message will be shown:
In case there was at least 1 group that was not found after migration to Google People API, the following dialog will be displayed:
You will need to remap folders on "What to Sync" page that were not found if you want them to continue to synchronize.
If you do not migrate to Google People API by June 15th, 2021 - some contacts will fail to synchronize. You can read more about it on Official Google announcement.
